CROSSTECH has recently joined Orbs Proof of Stake as a new Guardian. CROSSTECH is a popular project, especially in Asia, that operates multiple nodes for PoS networks such as ETH, ADA, SOL, ATOM, AVAX, IOST, IOTX, and now also ORBS under the unique Guardian name "Tbonestaking".

CROSSTECH is building an ecosystem called the CROSS Value Chain, aiming to integrate the world's largest blockchain infrastructure projects. In addition to developing the CROSS Value Chain, CROSSTECH also develops other blockchain-related systems and provides technology to exchanges etc. Currently, CROSSTECH is based in Dubai.

CROSSTECH is also engaged in planning and development, focusing on U/IUX in blockchain-related fields such as NFT and Metaverse, and is steadily expanding its ecosystem in collaboration with companies and university laboratories around the world.

To introduce themselves, CROSSTECH graciously agreed to answer some questions about their involvement with the Orbs project.

Q1: What made you interested in Orbs?

We learned about Orbs a few years ago. Currently, there are more than 50 Ethereum Virtual Machines (EVMs) L1 + L2 projects out there, and we found it interesting that Orbs positioned themselves as a Layer 3, which we find as an interesting and novel concept.

Q2: What do you think of Orbs' L3 business strategy?

In our involvement with the Orbs project, we are focusing on being part of the process of working with projects in the existing EVM ecosystem and supporting applications that add value to them. With Orbs' unique features designed for interoperability with EVM blockchains and a distributed network of nodes, it can be configured as a separate L3 execution layer that works to enhance the functionality of EVM smart contracts. We look forward to being part of future developments as we can work with other Layer 1 and 2 solutions as part of the hierarchical blockchain stack to provide a more complex and dynamic approach with DeFi, NFT, Metaverse and GameFi.

Q3：How do you plan to boost up your community as a Guardian?

We hope to help boost the Orbs community by providing an additional service for staking access, where Orbs Delegators can easily stake their ORBS tokens and receive the highest level of ORBS staking rewards.

Ultorex, which is an exchange platform operated by CROSSTECH, provides a service that makes it easy to stake ORBS in cooperation with the Guardian Node (Tbonestaking) operated by CROSSTECH. No need to stake from your Tetra wallet or bridge to the Polygon chain! You can get staking rewards by staking ORBS on Ultorex.

In addition, Ultorex also added an automatic compound interest ON-OFF switch for ORBS staking on Polygon for the benefit of its users, and this unique service is available to meet more customer needs. Furthermore, at present, during our bootstrapping phase, when staking via Ultorex, 50% of the reward that the Guardian Node originally receives from the protocol will be given to the top 10 stakers, with the amount of rewards proportional to the amount of tokens staked. Q4：Thank you very much for your support at the Blockchain Expo in May. How was your impression of meeting Nadav, Ran and Mayo?

At the "Blockchain EXPO Spring" OpenSkyBlue booth held at Tokyo Big Sight, Orbs team CEO Nadav announced "Orbs 3.0", which celebrated the 3rd anniversary of the launch of the mainnet and tokens. An exciting commentary was given on the three components of Orbs 3.0: PoS V3, Layer 3, and Web 3.0, with Orbs’ new vision of “making smart contracts smarter”. Mayo, Orbs Head of Japan, explained the concept in a very easy-to-understand manner with simultaneous interpretation, and the event was a great success. As many overseas projects stopped coming to Japan due to the influence of Covid-19, our team was very happy to see the Orbs team’s enthusiastic attitude in coming to Japan early and meeting the community.

Q5：Any messages to the Orbs community?

CROSSTECH believes that there are many areas where we can collaborate in expanding the Orbs ecosystem, and we would love to play that role.

Currently, the blockchain industry is still in a technological transition period, and we are making rapid progress while dealing with various issues every day.

CROSS Value Chain (CVC) will take a unique approach to the Layer 1 blockchain. CROSSTECH's proprietary decentralized content storage (DACS/Decentralized Autonomous Contents Storage) is incorporated into the consensus algorithm and is designed to expand the representation area of ​​the blockchain where only raw data can be stored.

Our testnet will be released in Q3 2022. We are confident that future collaborations will be a great force for Orbs, and we hope that we will co-create an ecosystem through new collaborations in the future.
